This course is aimed at improving students' academic writing skills and preparing students to write a thesis. Students will hone their organizational and critical thinking skills by discussing pressing social, political, and economic issues in class and using those class discussions to develop their essay writing abilities.

requirements & assessment
Grading will be based on class participation and two major writing assignments.
