Using writing skills gained from previous courses, this class will help students further develop their English composition skills through academic essay writing. These essays will be focused on the analysis of works of science fiction and fantasy, genres which have had a major cultural impact on the English speaking world and beyond.

Requirements: 1. Regular attendance (maximum of three absences allowed) 2. Active participation with class discussions and engagement with the material. 3. Completion of assignments Assessment: 1. Homework assignments: 40% 2. Classroom participation: 20% 3. Final Essay: 40%
