This course will provide students with an opportunity to develop the reading, writing, and speaking skills that will help them during their time at university, and also aims to highlight useful study skills for students to use in their academic, as well as their professional life. Students will have a chance to develop academic writing and presentation skills, while also learning about academic language and style. Tasks and activities will be given in class and for homework which will help students to develop the skills mentioned above.

- Attendance: Students must attend the live online classes which will take place on a weekly basis through Microsoft Teams. 3 unexcused absences are allowed (university policy).
- Keep up to date with the Moodle page throughout the semester, as materials/activities for class will be posted there.
- Complete in-class and homework assignments; work turned in more than a week late will have points deducted
Assessment: The final grade will be based on the average score of the activities/assignments which you completed and turned in.
Course materials: No materials need to be purchased. All materials will be posted on the Moodle page.
