1. Szigetvári welcomes the participants of the meeting, especially the three teaching assistants and Marcel den Dikken, the new member of the department.
2. The teaching assistants introduce themselves and briefly discuss their plans.
3. Szigetvári talks about the good news that den Dikken could finally sign his contract, and the uncomfortable news about the difficulties still in the way of transporting his book donation from New York.
4. Two courses of the department had to be cancelled because of lack of enough interest. The students, who registered, have been notified. The other courses are up and running with no significant overquota students at any of them.
5. Den Dikken talks about his plans for setting up the Nyelvelméleti Kutatóközpont (NYEKK). The Centre is to become an umbrella over the linguists of the Faculty with a generative bias. It is supposed to coordinate research and teaching, to cater for grant applications, and to make the introduction of sabbaticals possible.
6. Törkenczy discusses the University’s odd procedure of accepting PhD students without any kind of interview.
7. Szigetvári lists the statistics about theses the department has received in the past year.
