2. All courses advertised for the term are up and running. The introduction groups are filled up. The syntax groups had to allow several extra students, most of the phonology groups could keep to their original quotas. The specialization courses are also running. The validity of the regulations on a minimum limit of 15 on student numbers has expired at the end of last year.
3. The department has received a single BA thesis in the autumn term. We hope to have more than that in the spring term.
4. Newson raises the issue that students requesting feedback on their linguistic theory exam turn to him, but he’s unable to provide meaningful feedback on all topic of the course. It is decided that all exam papers should be scanned, so that all instructors of the course have reminders when providing feedback to examinees.
5. Szigetvári mentions that GLOW41 is coming up in mid-April. SEAS will host the five workshops on Tue 10 Apr and Sat 14 Apr. The main colloquium will be held at the Academy’s headquarters. Participants are urged to register.
