It also argues for the point that the role of //-en// (whose grammatical function is often the same as that of //-e//) is not that of a hiatus-filler. Finally, it suggests that in Gower’s verse, there were two forms of the article //the// — one with schwa, and one with a full vowel — and that the latter occurred most often in his more formal, more elevated poetry. \\ ''PDF:'' [[this>_media/10we.pdf|   full text]] \\ ''raw text:'' [[10we-raw]] \\ ''refs:'' ++ ⟨BibTeX⟩ | \\ ''@article{even10we, \\   author  = {Gyöngyi Werthmüller}, \\   title   = {An analysis of word-final //-e// in {M}iddle {E}nglish verse, in {G}ower and {C}haucer}, \\   year    = 2010, \\   journal = {The Even Yearbook}, \\   volume  = 9, \\   url     = {http://seas.elte.hu/w/!even/10we} \\ }''\\ ++ ++ ⟨RIS⟩ | \\ ''TY  - JOUR \\ AU  - Werthmüller,Gyöngyi \\ PY  - 2010/// \\ TI  - An analysis of word-final //-e// in Middle English verse, in Gower and Chaucer \\ T2  - The Even Yearbook \\ VL  - 9 \\ UR  - http://seas.elte.hu/w/!even/10we \\ ER  -''\\ ++ ++ ⟨txt⟩ | \\ '' Werthmüller, Gyöngyi. 2010.
