publication
course description
Three publications are to be published by students by the end of the last semester. Requirements: the publications are to be based on research; published in a printed or online publication with an ISBN/ISSN number, accepted based on peer review; listed in the MTMT publication data base, on the doctoral studentβs data sheet; in addition to the supervisor, the head of programme must also approve the publication as one of the three compulsory publications. The head of programme decides on the acceptance of papers published before the start of doctoral training, and these papers should also meet the same academic requirements. If the doctoral student is about to graduate and misses only one publication from the three compulsory ones, a paper that has already been accepted for publication but has not yet been published may also be accepted for credit, on condition that the student provides a written certificate of acceptance from the editors.
An unlimited number of publications that meet the publication requirements may be accepted; in addition to the supervisor, the head of programme should also approve the acceptance of such papers as 5, 10, or 15 credit publications.
Publications that are not research based, but meet the other requirements for compulsory publications (e.g., papers classified as educational or popular science articles); in addition to the supervisor, the head of programme should also approve the publication as a 5-credit publication. Translations are not accepted as publications.
