Our Europe: Ireland and the European Union, 1973–2023
Dear All,
I extend a warm invitation to all of you to attend a talk by HE Ronan Gargan, Ambassador of Ireland to Hungary, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Ireland’s accession to the European Union. Ambassador Gargan’s talks will accompany the Irish Embassy’s new poster exhibition, Our Europe: Ireland and the European Union, 1973–2023.
We have spent many weeks preparing the event and it would be wonderful to share it with as many of you as possible.
Venue: Main Faculty Hall (Kari Tanácsterem), Building A, ELTE BTK
Time: 11:00–12:00 Wednesday, 19 April 2023.
You may have seen posters around SEAS or read the notice in the last ELTE Newsletter.
Students are strongly encouraged to attend; the event was really organized for them so that they could learn about the positive aspects of EU membership through the example of Ireland.
