Electronic texts are omnipresent, most of your writing is produced and circulated in electronic format. There are a number of ways in which electronic and printed texts differ. The most important issue with electronic texts is how they are encoded, you have to be aware of some basic concepts of text encoding in order to successfully create and manipulate such texts.
